KoKo-PoP

KoKo-PoP was an R&B band from Columbus, Ohio that consisted of guitarist Kevin Alexander, saxophonist Chris Powell, keyboardist Eric O'Neal and bassist Recco Philmore.

Eric, Recco and Keith were featured on Teena Marie's 1983 album "Robbery." Chris has appeared on albums by various artists such as Willie Hutch, Clifford Brown, Nytro, Masterpiece, Rose Royce, Stargard, Teen Dream and the Temptations.
In 1984, they released their self-titled debut album on Motown Records. It's unknown how or if the album made the charts.
Their first single "Baby Sister" peaked at #51 on Billboard's Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for only 9 weeks.
The follow-up single "I'm In Love With You" peaked at #76 on the U.K. Singles chart and #62 on Billboard's Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 10 weeks.
In 1985, KoKo-PoP released their follow-up album "Secrets of Lonely Boys." Like their first album, the album didn't make the charts.
The only single to chart was "Brand New Beat" which peaked at #84 on Billboard's Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 4 weeks.

After that, it seemed as if KoKo-PoP faded into obscurity. These days, Recco Philmore is a member of the band Network 7. As for the other members, it is unknown what they are up to today.
