Mes'ay

Mes'ay was a female R&B group that consisted of Angela Watley, Leticia Castaneda and Mia Ann Belle. Not much information is given about them, but they were signed to the Superstar International Records label.

In 1986, Mes'ay released their first single "Ain't That Peculiar" which didn't appear to make the Billboard charts at all.

In 1987, their second single "Climb the Walls" managed to peak at #71 on Billboard's Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 7 weeks. Their last single "Give Me Love" flopped and after that, it seemed as if Mes'ay faded into obscurity.

Leticia provided backing vocals on Big Noise's album "Bang!" in 1989. As for Angela and Mia, it is unknown what they are up to these days.

Girlfriends

Girlfriends was a dance music act from the early '90s. Not much information is given about them, but they was signed to New Image Records.

In 1991, Girlfriends released their only single "It Keeps Me (Holdin' On)" which didn't appear to make the Billboard charts at all. After that, it seems as if Girlfriends has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from them since.

Lori Mitchell

Lori Mitchell was a female dance singer from the early '90s. Not much information is given about her, but she was signed to New Image Records.

In 1992, she released her only single "We've Got a Good Thing (Going On)." It's unknown how or if the single ever made the charts and after that, it seems as if Lori has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from her since.

Marc Sadane

Marc Sadane (born in Savannah, Georgia) was an R&B singer from the early '80s. He first began singing in the local church and later became the musical director for his local choir before moving on to doing off-Broadway acting & singing in New York.

While in New York, Marc studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, but later gained an interest in music and later became the lead singer for Tungsten Steele.

In 1977, Marc left Tungsten Steele for a solo career and became the vocalist for the house band at Mikell's. He toured with Stephanie Mills which gained him some popularity. Marc sang in several clubs in New Jersey before catching the attention of producers/songwriters James Mtume and Reggie
Lucas.

In 1981, Marc was signed to Warner Bros. Records. During that same year, he released his debut album "One Way Love Affair" which didn't appear to make the Billboard charts at all.

The title song peaked at #34 on Billboard's Hot Soul Singles chart, staying on the chart for 13 weeks, becoming his highest appearance on the R&B charts to date.

The follow-up single "Sit Up" didn't match the success of his previous single, peaking only at #78 on Billboard's Hot Soul Singles chart, staying on the chart for 5 weeks.

In 1982, Marc released his follow-up album "Exciting" which also didn't appear to make the Billboard album charts.

The first single from the album "One Minute From Love" peaked at #78 on Billboard's Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for only 3 weeks. The follow-up single, the title song peaked at #64 on Billboard's Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 6 weeks.

After the release of his second album, Marc took a hiatus from music until 1988 when he recorded the song "Why Can't You Believe in Me" which was produced by Darryl Payne for his showcase album "Past, Present & Future." The song also featured backing vocals from Will Downing.

After that, it seemed as if Marc faded into obscurity, but according to the soulwalking.co.uk website, Marc has been keeping a low music profile and according to videos on YouTube, it appears that Marc continues to perform live.
